Static US Air Force Seal

My Military Career

As you can see, I spent my military career in the U.S. Air Force.  To visit the Official United States Air Force Web site, please click on the above seal, or you can click here.

To visit the various parts of my career, please look for the Navigation Links on the left side, or near the bottom, of this page.

IMPORTANT!

Please take the time to read this entire page. It contains explanations, disclaimers and other important information. I would like to eliminate, or reduce, any possible misunderstandings.

The "mission" for this part of my site is as follows.  To provide a "conduit" for communication. I suspect that a number of you who may visit this site might know me because we've probably worked together (or against each other as it might be). It would be nice to keep in touch with some of our "Old Crew". However, whether we know each other or not, maybe we can share information about the people, installation(s) and unit(s) mentioned on my site. We have all traveled different roads, and trails, to get to where we are today. Regardless of where in this "Old World" we may live, or what we may be doing, it is my hope that, by using the "net", we can keep in touch with each other.

This is the military home page of my site. This is the launching point the different points of my military career.  I not only want to pass on information on the installations, and units, I was assigned to, but I would like to give a nonmilitary person an idea of how a military career can go from start to finish.

You may run across several site pages which may be Under Construction.  Please bear with me.  I am building these pages from whatever available information I have, or can scrounge up.  In some cases I have enough information to build a complete  page.  Others might take me a bit of digging to get the information required.  Any inputs would be appreciated.  Please e-mail me using the links at the bottom of this page.

To the non-military folks who may visit this site, some terms/acronyms that will appear on this site may be unfamiliar to you. I will attempt to create a glossary of terms, or link to an existing glossary, for those who may not know what a certain term/acronym might be. I'll follow the standard writing practice of spelling out an acronym, the first time it's used, and then use the acronym throughout the remainder of the page. If there is a term/acronym that you feel should be contained in my glossary, please e-mail me at the links at the bottom of this page.

!!!Notes!!!

  • I do not desire to get involved with "classified information". Please do not send me any.

  • The installation name(s), unit name(s), shop name(s) (Note: I've always hated the word "Workcenter",  sounds too sanitary and clinical for my likin'), etc., in this part of my site, are those that existed during my tour at each installation/unit.  If any changes occurred after my departure, please e-mail me at the links at the bottom of this page me with the change(s)

  • Since I worked, mostly Inside Plant, the names listed are those of the people whom I worked with during my entire tour at a particular unit. However, I have worked in other shops and I'll post the names of the people who I worked with in those shops. I'll list the names of other people, in other shops, that I can remember. The names listed come, mostly, from memory but I might find, in my junk, some other reference information. However, if there are names of other people that you feel should be listed, please e-mail me at the links at the bottom of this page and,  I will add them. Please provide the name of the shop, and office symbol (if you can remember it).

  • My goal, by listing names on my site, is to provide a current update of where you live (city/town/village and state/country) and who you work for. If you would like, please provide a brief description of the units, and installations, you PCSed to (How long has it been since some of you have heard that phrase?) after leaving the unit that we both worked at. Any other information, that you would like to provide, will be gladly accepted. If I may request, if you have an e-mail address, or even a business/personal web site, please provide the address of it and I'll set up a link to it.

  • The "Dates Assigned", in the top part of the page, are the approximate dates I was assigned to the unit. If you send me a name, please provide approximate dates (Month and Year will do), and I'll place them next to the name of the individual mentioned. If you also happened to remember their next unit of assignment (or retirement/separation), may I request that information also.
