1. Some of the information on this page, and other 1815th Unit Pages, was extracted from information not subject to the Privacy Act of 1974. The source was an internal "Quick Reference Telephone Listing" which contained only: Team Names, Team Member Names and Team Telephone Numbers. 2. The ranks indicated any of the 1815th Unit Pages are the highest ranks held that I can find documentation for, or that I can remember.

3. While I was at this unit, the unit designation changed twice. It changed from 1815 TES to 1815 OTES and finally to AFCCOTEC. See the matrix below to see the changes in office symbols as the unit designations were changed.

5. During my time at the unit, there was a new branch that was created. This branch was called Transmission Systems Evaluation Section (TEOT/TET). This section, if memory serves, was created after the redesignation of the unit as the 1815th OTES. The Satellite (SAT) and High Frequency (HF) Evaluation Teams were realigned under this new section. 6. In the Network Evaluation Section, there were quite a few changes in team names and team missions during the period of Jul 84-Jul 89. As best as my memory serves, there will be a brief description of those changes in the applicable team area.
